South African's took to social media to remember one of the greatest struggle heroes of apartheid, Thembisile Martin Hani popularly known as Chris Hani who was murdered on this day; the 10th of April in 1993. His death shook many South Africans and threatened to destabilize South Africa's political negotiations. On the morning of 10 April 1993, in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg, Janus Walusz approached the home of Chris Hani, leader of the South African Communist party and a commander of uMkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress, and shot him at point-blank range in the chin, behind the ear and in the chest.
