As a Darling of the media, Bonang is always in the news. For good reasons and sometimes for bad reason.
We have carefully studied the people's conception of Bonang and have found these seven stereotypes that aren't really true.
1. Bonang underwent cosmetic/plastic surgery.
This is a common misconception that people may think Queen B went under the knife. Earlier this year, she tweeted a picture of herself. Quickly after, people started replying to the tweet and sub tweeting her pointing out the unusual inflation of her bust line.

2. Bonang has one name.
I'm most certain that almost everyone thought that the Queen had one name only. Not until recently when she was tangled in a R10m tax evasion scandal that she terribly handled.
The Sunday World newspaper published a story where it alleged Bonang to be in trouble with the law for failing to pay tax. She quickly tweeted after the news broke that the story was fabricated and she was keen on taking legal action against the publication.
Things took turn for the worst when The Sowetan, which happens to be a sister publication to Sunday World published a story claiming that they maintain their article was factual and are ready for any legal action against them. They also stated that an intelligence officer had confirmed that a tax evasion case had been opened against Ms Bonang Dorothy Matheba.A fraud docket with a case number Sunday World has seen has been registered at the Johannesburg Central Station against Bonang Dorothy Matheba. https://t.co/TXStd1rRmZ— Sowetan LIVE (@SowetanLIVE) August 29, 2018
That's her middle name, Dorothy.
3. Bonang is on drugs.
Dorothy is also rumored to be on a strong drug by the name of benzoylmethylecgonine (famously known as COCAINE or CRACK or SUGAR or COKE or SNOW) along with her ex boyfriend Kiernan Forbes (AKA).
Both Bonang and AKA have refuted the claims. Calling them "Bullsh*t". After the news broke out, Bonang tweeted:
Administering too much caffeinated products may lead to a psychedelic effect in the brain that many may confuse with the effects of benzoylmethylecgonine (Cocaine).....they have to talk about you. Because when they talk about themselves, nobody listens.— Bonang B* Matheba (@bonang_m) June 9, 2016
The Queen may be drinking too much coffee or coke and not snorting cocaine. Relax!
4. Bonang is under 30.
That is also incorrect. Queen B celebrated her 30th birthday with a high class/high fashion smash party.
On the 25th of June this year she turned 31. A whole full calendar! She spent R450k for her 30th birthday.

5. Bonang is a local celebrity.
Although there's some truth in that, Dorothy is an international A-Lister with endorsements from Revlon, KFC, GH Mumm and other international brands.
She is also regularly invited to events such as the New York Fashion Week.POPULAR: Revlon had no plans to make Bonang global ambassador https://t.co/q0ttGMt4ev. pic.twitter.com/qHb1fAMrxo— DRUM Magazine (@DrumMagazine) March 23, 2016
Is this too much to digest? Here's a little advice in the words of Queen B, "Have some champagne darling."
